My First Month (by Brevin)

Hello everyone….. My name is Brevin Arthur Richardson and I was born at 4:23 pm on November 5th 2009. I was a week late and took my sweet time getting to the big day, but when I decide it’s time, it’s time. I told my mama that I was on my way around 12:00 pm. Mama thought I was just working up to the big finale so she hung out in the tub and tried to relax. I tried to tell her I was ready now, but she didn’t catch on (Kaiser didn’t help they told her she had plenty of time). Just before 4 pm I started to be a littler more persuasive and mama knew I wasn’t messing around. (Shaylee luckily was at Gammie’s house because I was supposed to be induced the following day.) Good thing the hospital is only 5 minutes away since they took their sweet old time leaving because I was born at 4:23. Mama was pretty wiped out, I don’t think she knew what hit her, so I let her catch her breath while dada and the nurses cleaned me up and checked me out. They said I was perfect (of course) and finally let me go see my mama.

The first 3 weeks was pretty easy, I like my new home and family. My sister isn’t so sure about me stealing her thunder but I think I am going to like her. She is super silly and seems like a lot of fun. Unfortunately just like my sister I developed Reflux around 3 weeks and I was not happy about it. I couldn’t fall asleep without the help of mama or dada so I decided I was only going to sleep on them until I started to feel better.
